This year’s theme for the parade is the “Stars of Scottsdale,” which recognizes the leadership families of Scottsdale. Some of these leaders include historian Marshall Trimble (this year’s parade marshal), the Corral family and the George Cavalliere family. Also in attendance, will be a newly re-created group, the “Howdy Dudettes.” These women were the greeters and goodwill ambassadors for the parade in the 1960s.
