Joya Spa is the 31,000- sq. ft. luxury spa at the heart of the Montelucia resort that offers truly unique indulgences for the body and soul.

When you arrive at Joya Spa, you are greeted by a Joya Journey Coordinator who will escort you up the grand staircase to the Joy of Intention room where we ask you to stop, relax and tune out the outside world. Choose from five healing stones to set the tone for your day; Tiger Eye, Blue Lace Agate, Rhodonite, Rose Quartz or Hematite. Guests either choose the stone based on the meaning or they allow the stone to choose them.

After you pass through Joy of Intention, you will reach the Room of Purification, which contains a 55-lb quartz crystal which radiates light in multiple colors. Guests are asked to place both hands on the crystal, take two deep breaths in, and as they exhale, stress, negative energy and all cares are melted away. This opens up the mind and body to the rest of the day and what life will bring.

Current specials include the Monday happy hour special: a 50-minute classic massage or facial for as little as $105 depending on the time of day. Additionally, you can receive a special $35 credit to use towards any 50 or 80-minute full priced service on your birthday. Joya Spa also had a number of summer specials running until September 30th, with new fall specials beginning in October.

Joya also offers the option to rent luxury suites for a personal spa experience for couples, friends or family wishing to retreat in total privacy. Appointed with all the elements of comfort and relaxation each suite is perfect for small celebrations or a romantic getaway. Choose from three options for a full or a half-day and escape your worldly cares. Half day prices range from $249-$449 and full day rates from $499-$899.

In addition to facials, body treatments, and salon services, Joya offers unique rituals experiences. The Hammam Experience invites guests into a soothing aromatherapy room featuring beautifully iridescent heated seats contoured to address the body’s pressure points. Guests then receive a brisk scrub using herbal black soap applied with a Kassa cloth. This quick 20 minute journey is available for $59.

Another popular ritual is the Moroccan Cleansing- a relaxing detoxifying treatment embracing the blossom exotic scents of Northern Africa, combining a Moroccan scented sugar scrub, Rhassoul clay masque (an unsurpassed mineral clay mined from deep volcanic deposits in with extraordinary ability to absorb impurities), a citrus foot treatment to address feet, and a soothing application of aromatic argon oil. This 80-minute session is available for $239.

Finally, the Restorative Sleep Ritual helps to promote restful, quality sleep, relieve stress, and calm the mind. It consists of full body reflexology addressing points in the feet, hands and scalp, an aromatherapy massage, and hot towel foot treatment to soothe the body mind. Sessions are 80 minutes and cost $239.

Day passes may also be purchased at spa reception for full day use of the spa amenities, including the fitness center, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and relaxation lounges. Day passes and spa treatments also give guests access to Joya’s rooftop terrace and pool, complete with poolside dining and cocktail service.
