Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, two of the most important and recognizable artists of the twentieth century, helped to define Mexican modernism while engaged in a tumultuous romance.
While Rivera became famous for his mural paintings, Frida Kahlo is better know for her colorful series of self-portraits.
This exhibit offers the rare opportunity to see this compelling couples’ work side by side, and includes 33 of the artists’ most renowned works, as well as photographs of the couple and authentic jewelry of clothing from the Mexico City region.
