Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Faire

Spring is in full swing with the 34th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Faire!

The event is this Saturday, March 11th in downtown Phoenix. Its purpose is in celebration of the holiday and to preserve and enhance the heritage and traditions of the Irish Culture as well as share that culture with the citizens of Arizona.

The Parade, the second largest in Arizona, starts at 10am at 3rd Street and Sheridan and heads south through the streets of Downtown Phoenix. This year’s Parade theme is “Salute to Irish Music and Dance” and features a variety of performers, entertainers and floats including marching bands, Irish dancers, and bag pipers.

Following the parade, the 2017 Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Faire begins at the Irish Cultural Center at Hance Park. Come out and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather with 3 Stages of Irish Music, Irish Stepdancing, and Bagpipers! There will be Food & Beverages, Irish Crafts & Merchandise, Genealogy, Irish Clubs, Children’s Area, and more! Be sure to stop by the McClelland Library to catch a glimpse of the “1916 Commemorative Exhibition” with a guided tour of the facility.
